Ingredients
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1 carrot, peeled and cut into small pieces
  • 1/2 red pepper, cut into small pieces
  • 300g mince
  • 1 tbsp tomato purée
  • 150ml passata
  • 150g spaghetti of choice (use gluten free if necessary)
  • Freshly chopped basil (optional for serving)
  • Parmesan cheese (omit to keep this dairy free)
Directions
Step 1
First add the pasta to the Beaba Babycook® Pasta/Rice cooker insert and fill the water reservoir to water level 3 (Babycook Solo Express 170ml on Standard Cooking Mode) and add 1/2 cup/120ml water to the insert with the pasta. Steam cook. Once steamed, place the spaghetti into a bowl and set aside.
Step 2
Then add the onion, thyme, basil, garlic, carrot, red pepper, mince, tomato purée and passata to the steaming basket of the Beaba Babycook®.
Step 3
Fill the steamer reservoir with water to level 3 (Babycook Solo Express 160ml on Standard Cooking Mode) and steam.
Step 4
Once the mince and veggies are steamed, carefully open the lid and remove the steaming basket.
Step 5
Tip the contents of the steaming basket into the Babycook® blending bowl. Leave the water at the bottom of the steam basket as this has so much flavour!
Step 6
Blitz to purée to your babies preferred texture.
Step 7
Serve over the cooked spaghetti. Top with freshly chopped basil and a sprinkling of Parmesan cheese.

Serve and enjoy!

The Bolognese sauce can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for 2 days or frozen for up to 3 months.
